Nera Takiyuki

Let me start with an explanation. Back when Nero Takiyuki was only a thought in my head....He was a girl.... Now I can't exactly remember why I changed the gender but I did. And when I shared this information with some friends a few years back they were quite shocked. One friend suggested I bring her back and after a bit of thinking I considers it. But how could 2 Nero's exist at once...

Well I thought about that and to explain would have to shed some light on Nero's past. Something I haven't done too much of.

Anyway....

When Nero was born, it was discovered that he had an unknown illness that was killing him from the inside. Because this illness was completely new to the world there was no hope of finding a cure. One day, without saying a word, Nero's father Raizo just left. Leaving his wife Ryoko and their dying son on their own. This sent Ryoko into a spiraling depression which led to her take drastic measures into order to save her son. (But that's another for another day)

It turns out that Raizo had left in order to find some way to end Ryoko worrying and sadness. His conclusion....create a copy of their first born son. Raizo tried for years, exhausted all of his resources, but every attempt to create a new Nero failed. Then he had a sudden realization. "Could changing the gender stabilize the cloning process?" Needless to say Raizo's assumption paid off when he successfully created a genetic clone of his assumed to be dead son. The only difference...that son was now a daughter.

After years of being away Raizo returned home with little Nera hoping that she'd be able to make Ryoko happy again. However the exact opposite happened...A lot had happened over the years (again...another story) and Ryoko's depression had worsened. She lashed out at Raizo, devastated that he would just abandon them and try to replace Nero. The site of Nera who was still just a small child only reminded Ryoko of the pain she endured. She wanted nothing to do with Raizo or Nera.

Raizo and Nera left Ryoko and lived on their own. Things seemed to be okay but Raizo wasn't the same. Between the time of Nera's creation and the incident with Ryoko, Raizo cared for Nera as a loving father would. That all stopped and Raizo found himself in a deep depression as well. Nera didn't understand the situation but knew that her father was upset. She tried her best to cheer him up but he only pushed her away and one day he abandoned her too.

Nera...now alone began to feel as though no one cared about her. Her mother rejected her and her father abandoned her and she had no idea why. It wasn't until she was picked up off the street by a female wolf named Natsumi Takiyuki and not only did they share a last but Natsumi knew everything about her. Natsumi took Nera in and revealed everything to her. The truth about who she was. The fact that she was nothing more than a replacement for Nero, who was still alive only confused and infuriated her. Natsumi spent years raising Nera, training her and teaching her to embrace her new hatred for Ryoko, Raizo and Nero.


Wow that was still a lot to write...even when summerized...just to note some stuff...after a while Ryoko calmed down and realized that she overreacted when she pushed Nera away and wants to apologize. She still thinks of Nera as her child. Also Nera goal in life is to be exactly what she was created for. A replacement for Nero. And Natsumi convinced her that the only way to do that was to kill Nero herself.
